2. Research
High Textile Technology Laboratory (LATT)

It has been funded by the Piedmont Region and it has been working since June 2005. The following bodies participated in the project: Politecnico of Turin (seat of Biella), CNR-ISMAC (section of Biella), ITIs of Biella, Fondo Edo Tempia and Associazione Tessile e Salute.
At the moment the laboratory can be used by any Italian enterprises willing to carry out innovation and research projects on textile materials, products and production cycles.
The LATT includes the following equipment:
- climatic chamber (Bifrezeer)
- cutometer MPA 580 (Secchi)
- BABUC ABC system (LSI Instruments)

 
 
 
HITEX multiregional project

In September 2007 the multiregional project HITEX officially started. The following bodies are involved: Health and Textile Association, Politecnic of Turin, CNR-ISMAC, ITI of Biella, Cittą Studi spa.
